Abram Pulman & Sons Ltd has a long and successful history of steel stockholding dating back to 1830 when the company was founded. The company was incorporated in 1898 when FC Shoesmith and J Illingworth, both Iron and Steel Merchants, joined forces to take control. Over the years we have built up a reputation of excellence in the business of steel stockholding. Today, Abram Pulman Steel still operates as a family run business from offices and warehouses in West Yorkshire.
Operating from a self-contained site in Sowerby Bridge, we stock a substantial range of general steels, engineering steels, bright steels, plates, sheets and sections as well as a large range of Stainless Steel and Cast Iron. We have blended our extensive knowledge of the steel industry with the introduction of accurate new technology and quality standards to ensure a prompt and accurate service. Our state of the art cutting and profiling machines give us the skills to assist our customers, maintaining a positive and individual approach to each order. Flexibility is an important component of our business philosophy and our modern transport fleet provides a door to door service.
